Greensboro, NC - Greensboro men's wrestling hosted Ferrum College on Wednesday in their first ODAC match of the season. The Panthers took home the win 33-14 in a competitive night on the mat.
CJ Watson won the first match of the night over Samson Germain in the 125lb weight class 12-11 by decision. With the match tied 3-3,
Josh Wilson came through with a dominant 19-3 tech fall win over Jackson Lambert to give the Pride an early 6-3 advantage.
Ferrum would come back to win the next five matches to take control.
Luke Gregory lost the 184lb match in a very tight contest by decision 9-7 against Joseph Toner before
Isaiah Manning won by forfeit in the 197lb match.
In the final match of the night,
Jacob Barlow, ranked #17 nationally, went up against the #1 ranked wrestler in the 285lb in Rayshawn Dixon. Dixon would come out on top by fall in an entertaining match-up of two top 20 ranked wrestlers.
Greensboro will wrestle again on January 4th when they travel to Washington & Lee for their another ODAC match.
