,Lexington, VA - The Greensboro Men's Wrestling team took on Washington & Lee Friday night in their first ODAC Dual of the season. The Generals took the team win by a score of 41-6.
Greensboro got wins from
Josh Wilson and
Omari Lee. Wilson, wrestling in the 141 pound weight class, defeated Skyler Hickman by an 11-5 Decision. Lee, meanwhile, wrestled against Jacob Wright in the 184 pound weight class and won his match by a 7-5 Decision.
Luke Gregory wrestled against the #12 nationally ranked wrestler in the 174 pound weight class, Harrison Kelly. Gregory would fall by TF18-1.
Ethan Kring took on the #7 regionally ranked Nic Zamaloff, while
Khalil Belk competed against John Santowski.
Coming into this weekend,
Josh Wilson moved up to the #2 nationally ranked Division III wrestler in the 141 pound class, while also being ranked #1 in the Southeast Region. Greensboro is now ranked #21 in the nation in the Tournament Team Rankings, according to the National Wrestling Coaches Association.
The team will compete at Washington & Lee again on Saturday as they participate in the Jim Crytzer Invitational.
