Greensboro, NC - It was a dominant day on the mat for Greensboro Men's Wrestling as they defeated Southern Virginia 31-15 on Saturday afternoon. Six Pride wrestlers got wins on the day, as team got its first ODAC dual win of the season.
The Knights got the day started with a win, as Greensboro's
Christopher Watson lost to Quinn Richards. After this match, the Pride would win six of the next eight matches.
Quadir Medley defeated Joseph Comaduron by Fall, and then
Josh Wilson quickly took care of SVU's Porter Kinne by Technical Fall, 21-5.Â
Later,
Ethan Kring would lose in a tough match-up, but then
Nick Menjivar came through with a big win over Calvin Filmore by Fall.
Deven Ashley then took home a win over Carson Hyde by Fall, and after that,
Omari Lee defeated Hank Svedin 16-3.Â
Khalil Belk would get the final win for Greensboro, as he defeated Loyal Holm 14-5. In the heavyweight match,
Dominic Harris would lose by a Decision 9-2. The win is the Pride's first dual match win of the season.
The team travels to Appalachian State tomorrow as they face off against Division I Appalachian State University. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm, and can be seen at the link below.
