Men's and Women's Tennis has solid performance against Ferrum

Greensboro, NC – In their match together of the early season, the Greensboro College Men's and Women's Tennis teams hosted ODAC member Ferrum College today at Greensboro Day School.  It was a great opportunity for fans to see both teams and the talent they have assembled on the court.  While the Pride fell in both contests 6-3, there were many solid performances that Coach Williams was proud of.

On the Men's side of the scorebook, the duo of Sophomore Phoenix Green (Greensboro, NC) and Senior Phillip Deutsch (Greensboro, NC) won their No. 1 Doubles match 8-6 , while Freshman Reagan Gray (Angier, NC) won his No. 4 Singles match in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3 and fellow Freshman Lane McDowell (Gibsonville, NC) won his No. 6 Singles match.  On the Women's side, the No. 1 Doubles team of Sophomore Madison Bowen (Greensboro, NC) and Sophomore Jada Ore (Madison, NC) were victorious 8-0 and they both won their singles matches.

The Men's team will return to action tomorrow Sunday, March 19th as they host North Carolina Wesleyan and the Women's team will be back on the court Saturday, April 1st when they travel to Methodist University.
