Greensboro, NC – The USA South Athletic Conference has announced that the Greensboro College Women's Basketball team has clinched the Conference's Regular Season Title. In addition, the Pride have earned the #1 seed in next week's conference tournament and will host each game as long as they continue to advance. A trophy presentation will take place 33 minutes prior to the team's first round game on Tuesday night, February 21
st, as USA South Assistant Commissioner Mike Christie will be in attendance for the ceremony.
As of today, Greensboro has compiled an overall record of 22-2 and a conference record of 17-0. The Pride are currently on a 19-game win streak and their only two loses have come at the hands of #1 nationally ranked Christopher Newport University and regionally ranked Guilford College. This year, the Pride are led in scoring by Sophomore
Audrey Jennings (Elkin, SC) who is averaging 17.5 points/game while shooting 31% from the three-point line and 86% from the free throw line. Senior
Ta'Keria Legette (Latta, SC) is averaging 13 points/game and is also leading the team in steals with 91. Senior
Karli Mason (Monroe, NC) set the Greensboro all-time single game three-pointers made and attempted record this year, while Sophomore
Quadijah Moore (Greenwood, SC) leads the team with 43 blocks, Sophomore
Aijah Palmore (Greensboro, NC) leads the team with 240 rebounds and Sophomore
Lauren Livingston (Greenwood, SC) leads in assists with 136. The Pride players also are in numerous top 5 categories in the USA South and in the top 50 in the NCAA. The team, as a whole, is also recognized in 11 NCAA statistical categories.
