Women's Swim Team Collects Two Wins

In an exhilarating showdown, the Greensboro College Women's Swim team displayed exceptional talent securing a victory against their competitors from Salem and Guilford College.

Jade Stoner, whose incredible feat of recording the third-fastest time in Greensboro College history in the mile left spectators and teammates alike in amazement. 

Allysia Alfred, stepping up to swim her first 200 butterfly, proved to be a revelation. With determination and skill, she secured a second-place finish.

Consistency is the key to success in any sport, and Kilee Kemp exemplified this with another strong showing. Her unwavering dedication and solid performance in the pool continue to be a source of inspiration for her teammates.

Gabrielle Hunker had a night to remember, achieving not one but two lifetime best times and impressively shaving eight seconds off her previous records in two separate events. 

Virginia Hufschmitt demonstrated remarkable resilience delivering her best performance since returning from shoulder surgery. Her journey back to peak form is a testament to her unwavering commitment to the sport and her team.

Not to be overlooked, the men's team also took part in the meet, albeit on an exhibition basis. Their participation serves as a reminder of the inclusive and supportive spirit that characterizes Greensboro College's swimming program.

The victory against Salem and Guilford College is a testament to the Greensboro College Women's Swim team's hard work and unwavering spirit. These athletes continue to push their boundaries, setting new records and achieving personal bests, all while maintaining a strong sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship.

As the team celebrates this remarkable win, their collective journey of growth and achievement continues, promising exciting prospects for the future. Both the men's and women's team will compete again Saturday November 4th at 12:00PM in an ODAC Conference meet at Randolph College.
