GREENSBORO, NC. – The Greensboro men and women tennis teams competed against Averett where the Cougars claimed a 9-0 victory on both the men's and women's sides on a tough afternoon for the Pride.

Averett boasts one of the USA South's premier tennis programs, and despite the loss, Coach Williams was proud of the effort.  "We fought hard on every court, but we didn't have enough today to take down a great Averett team."

Many of the Greensboro players are still in their first few competitive matches and are still learning the game.  The Pride will next host Southern Virginia on April 5th at 10:30am at the Greensboro Day School.
