Mount Olive, NC - The Greensboro College Men's Wrestling team continued to step up in competition as they faced two Division II opponents Mount Olive and Emmanuel on Sunday. "Both of our opponents today may have been Division II, but we fought hard and, as coaches, we are extremely proud of the entire team effort", said Head Coach
Justin Harty, "We really wrestled great today as a whole".
Against Emmanuel, Tommy Benitez would secure a win via pin, while
Max Steele continued his winning ways with a pin of his own. Against Mt Olive, the Pride picked up three wins, with #5 nationally ranked and two-time All-American
Josh Wilson winning a close 3-2 match at 141lbs and
Khalil Belk winning a tough match against his opponent. In addition,
Max Steele finished the day 2-0 with his second straight pin.
Greensboro will now have a month break from competition before they return to action on January 17th when they hit he road to face fellow ODAC foe Southern Virginia.
