GREENSBORO, N.C. – Alexis Murriel scored four goals as the Greensboro College women's lacrosse team defeated the Hawks of Huntingdon College Friday 14-5.
In the first half, Murriel,
Madison Blashaw, and
Morgan Montgomery found the back of the next off free-position attempts to establish a 3-0 lead before the Hawks got on the board.
With the Pride holding on to the two-goal lead midway through the half,
Logan Schnabl scored two goals over a two minute span to extend the lead out to four before
Mackenzie Burns tallied a goal in the final minute to give the Pride a 6-1 halftime lead.
Huntingdon then scored the first two goals of the second half, but Greensboro closed out the game on an 8-2 run to take the nine-goal victory. Murriel accounted for three of the Pride goals while Burns added two goals.
Stephanie Carr made nine saves in goal to pick up her third victory of the season.
