LYNCHBURG, Va. – Madison Blashaw scored seven goals as the Greensboro College women's lacrosse team defeated the Wildcats of Randolph College Saturday 17-5.
Blashaw scored three goals over the first 15 minutes of the first half as the Pride opened the game on a 7-0 run.
Alexis Murriel tallied two of the goals, while
Morgan Montgomery and
Logan Schnabl both had one goal.
Following the run, the Wildcats found the back the net for the first time before the Pride took a 9-2 lead into halftime, following two more goals by Blashaw.
In the second half, Greensboro continued their dominance as they outscored Randolph 8-3 to secure the 12-goal victory. Murriel and Blashaw combined for five of the second half goals, while Schnabl added two goals.
Elizabeth Carr also found the back of the net.
Stephanie Carr made seven saves on the day and was credited with the win.
