GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's tennis team swept the Squirrels of Mary Baldwin University Wednesday 9-0.
After only giving up a combined three games in doubles action, Greensboro took a 3-0 lead into singles and continue to dominate.
Anna Rae Porcelli (No.1), Hayley Griffin (No.2), and
Samantha Lopez (No.5) each won their singles matches by identical scores of 6-0 and 6-0.
At No.3 singles, Mattie Moore won by scores of 6-0 and 6-2 while
Hunter Cashion (No. 4) picked up a straight set win by recording scores of 6-0 and 6-1.
In the final match of the day,
Alexis Chase took the opening set of her No.6 singles match by a 6-1 score before closing out the day with a 6-4 victory in Set 2.
