GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's lacrosse team fell to the Monarchs of Methodist University Tuesday 12-2.
The Monarchs jumped out to a 5-0 lead over first 20 minutes of play in the first half before the Pride was able to reach the back of the net on a goal by
Kara Whitson, but still find themselves behind 5-1
The Monarchs pushed their lead 6-1 with a late goal in the first half before opening the second half on a 6-0 run to extend their lead 12-1.
The Pride was able to score the game's final goal when
Morgan Montgomery hit the back of the net with 3:55 remaining in the game.
Greensboro was unable to pull in the victory in their final home game of the season.
Sada Hollowell was credited with the loss in goal despite recording nine saves.
