GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College wrestling team fell to the Braves of UNC-Pembroke on senior day Wednesday 33-12.
 
Greensboro got six early points on a forfeit at 125-lbs before the Braves record a technical fall victory at 133 to pull within one.
 
Hai Siu then extended Greensboro's lead to 9-5 with an exciting 15-12 decision victory at 141-lbs.
 
As the dual progressed, Conan Wilson recorded Greensboro's final win at 157-lbs as he won via a 9-8 decision.
 
"I am very pleased with our performance tonight," Head Coach Erik Wince said. "We showed a lot of grit against a high-level Division II team.
 
"We broke a couple of their better guys down and battled hard in our losses. We are right where we want to be heading into the home stretch leading up to regionals next weekend."
 
The Pride will return to the mat Feb. 22 when they travel to the NCAA Division III Southeast Regionals in Williamsport, Pa.
