Men's And Women's Swimming Falls To Virginia Wesleyan

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College men's and women's swimming teams fell to the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan University Saturday.
 
The Pride turned in nine first-place finishes between the two teams as Anis Yahi had three top finishes, while Haley Russell both had two top finishes.
 
Men's Meet Highlights
  • The 200-yard relay team of Ethan Wilson, Cole Haines, Anis Yahi, and Christian Pfofitt finished in first with a time of 1:49.92
  • Anis Yahi picked up wins in the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, and the 100-yard butterfly
  • Cole Haines finished first in the 200-yard breaststroke
  • Alan Compean finished fifth in the 100-yard freestyle and sixth in the 50-yard
  • Ethan Wilson picked up a win in the 100-yard freestyle and finished third 100-yard backstroke
 
Women's Highlights
  • Haley Russell finished first in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle
  • Tess Perdue finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle and seventh in the 100-yard
