RALEIGH, N.C. – Daniel Christian picked up a win at No. 2-singles as the Greensboro College men's tennis team fell to the Pacers of William Peace University Saturday, 8-1.
Christian dropped the opening set of his match by a 6-4 score before sending the game into a tiebreaker set with a 7-5 win in Set 2.
In the tiebreaker, Christian coasted to a 10-4 win.
In other singles action,
Ryan Mule,
Jared Heller,
Carlos Barragan,
Kevin Nickel and
Gabriel Reynosa won at least one game in their respective matches.
In doubles play, Barragan and Christian battled hard but came up short at No. 1, 8-5.
"The guys had a much better performance today," Head Coach
Gus Mota said. "They battled hard and made Peace earn every point."
