GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's tennis team fell to the Royals of Johnson University Friday, 7-2.
The doubles team of
Anna Rae Porcelli and
Caroline Price picked up the Pride's lone doubles victory at No. 1to make the score 2-1 in favor of the Royals heading into singles play.
In singles action, Porcelli picked up Greensboro's final point at No.1 after winning by scores of 6-0 and 6-1.
Hunter Cashion dropped a tightly contested match at No. 5 singles, while
Lauren Rodriguez,
Samantha Lopez and
Rachel Hamilton also competed for Greensboro.
"We missed out on a lot of points today," Head Coach
Gus Mota said. "We have a long stretch of matches upcoming and I want the kids to continue battling and play with Pride one point at a time."
