GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College men's tennis team fell to the Royals of Johnson University Friday, 6-3.
The doubles team of
Carlos Barragan and
Warren Washington picked up the Pride's lone doubles victory at No. 2 to make the score 2-1 in favor of the Royals heading into singles play.
In singles action, Barragan and
Daniel Christian picked up wins for Greensboro. Barragan won by scores of 6-2 and 6-3, while Christian tallied 6-4 and 7-5 wins.
Torian Bullock,
Jared Heller and
Gabriel Reynosa also competed for the Pride.
"We missed out on a lot of points today," Head Coach
Gus Mota said. "We have a long stretch of matches upcoming and I want the kids to continue battling and play with Pride one point at a time."
