Maddy Wetherholt was named Greensboro College's female student for the month of February.

Wetherholt, a junior pitcher from Hope Mills, N.C., helped lead the Pride to an 8-6 record to open the season.

Wetherholt posted a 5-1 record in the pitching circle, while recording a 1.58 ERA over 40 innings. Additionally, Wetherholt tallied 18 strikeouts.
