Volleyball Falls to Nationally Ranked Colorado College 3-0

The Greensboro College volleyball team opened its Colorado trip on Friday with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-16, 25-14) loss to #17 nationally ranked Colorado College.  The Pride will face the Tigers again on Saturday during their stay in Colorado Springs, CO.

Colorado College took control from the beginning in this one, winning the first set 25-9.  The Tigers finished Greensboro out in convincing fashion, taking set two 25-16 and set three by a count of 25-14.

Liz Widenhouse and Olivia Gough tied for a team high in kills with five apiece.  Cortland Phillips dished out 17 assists while Danielle Simpson picked up 11 digs.

The Pride are now 8-3 on the season and face Colorado College at 1 p.m. EST on Saturday.
