2012 Volleyball Camp

SUMMER VOLLEYBALL SKILLS CAMP
Greensboro College will be hosting a Volleyball Skills Camp the week of June 18-21 at the Greensboro College Reynolds Center. The purpose of the camp is to give beginning to intermediate instruction to high school and middle school athletes. Instruction will include training in the skills and techniques of passing, setting, attacking, serving, and defense. Emphasis is placed on developing court movement, ball control, as well as game competition. A variety of drills, games, and competition will be used to put these techniques into ractice. Campers will be divided by age, skill level, and experience onto courts, which will provide the appropriate learning environment.
A typical daily schedule of activities:
9:00 – 11:30: Morning
Session
11:30 – 1:00: Lunch
1:00 – 4:00: Afternoon Session

Assistant Coaches Lauren Smith, Sha McDuffie along with
current Pride volleyball players will also serve as camp
instructors.
Registration
Campers are required to register by completing the
application form and including insurance information (campers must
provide their own health insurance) with Full Payment made payable
to Jean Lojko. No refunds after June 15th. All refunds are subject
to a $50.00 administrative fee. If a health condition or injury
prohibits participation prior to camp a Physician’s letter
explaining the circumstances must accompany a written request for a
refund. Upon receipt of camp tuition, completed application, and
insurance information you will receive a confirmation letter with
registration locations and additional information on travel, what
to bring to camp, etc. Enrollment is limited. SIGN UP SOON!
Registrations are accepted on a first come basis. The camp will
begin Monday June 18th with registration at 8:00 am and will
continue through Thursday June 21st at 4:00 p.m. A closing ceremony
will take place beginning at 3:45 on Thursday. Parents are
encouraged to attend.
The cost of the camp is only $175.00, which includes all
instruction and a camp T-shirt. Campers must bring their own lunch
or they may purchase lunch. Coaches will place orders for
subs or pizza.
