The Greensboro College women's swim team will take to the Reynolds pool on Sunday against Guilford and Emory & Henry. The Pride are familiar with both teams, having faced them earlier in the year.
Greensboro hosted the Quakers of Guilford on November 5 as part of a double dual meet with Bridgewater. The Pride swam to a dominating 60-32 victory to earn a meet split. Greensboro bested Guilford in each of the ten events that the team took part in.
The opening meet of the season, the ODAC Relay, pitted The Pride against the Quakers, Emory & Henry and six other schools in the conference. Greensboro finished sixth at the meet with 109.5 points, beating out Guilford's 75 and last place Emory & Henry's 59. Again, The Pride topped both teams in each of the eight events they participated in.
Greensboro is paced by Emma Phillips, who has set four school records this season and holds seven total. Dani Horne has also etched her name in the top five overall in three events this season. Taylor White has moved into the top ten in two events while Lauren Fisher joined the record book in one event.
The Pride are 4-3 on the season in dual meet action while Guilford is 0-4 and Emory Henry is 1-4. Both the Quakers and the Wasps will be in action on Saturday as well. Guilford travels to Ferrum and Emory & Henry hosts Hollins. Sunday's meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the Reynolds pool on the campus of Greensboro College.
