The Pride softball team recorded a 2-1 record on Saturday, including a thrilling walk-off winner. Greensboro is now 3-3 on the season after wrapping up the Methodist Early Bird Tournament this weekend.
Holly Jones knocked in Heather Nellis to break a seventh inning tie in a 6-5 win over Emory & Henry in the morning game. The Pride watched leads of 2-0 and 3-1 slip away as the Wasps exploded for four runs in the sixth to grab a 5-3 advantage.
Greensboro answered back with two in the bottom of the sixth before Jones' game winning heroics in the seventh.
Brittany Teer led a seven hit Pride attack with a 3-3 performance from the plate. Nellis and Brittany Evans also added two hits apiece for Greensboro. Jones, Teer and Evans each knocked in two runs as well.
Kelsey Sanfilippo earned the win in relief of Jackie Nicholson.

It was all Pride in the finale, as Greensboro pounded out 11 hits while posting runs in every inning but the first to beat Stevenson, 11-0 in five innings. The highlight was a six run fifth inning, following a three run third, that sealed the victory.
Evans hammered a grandslam in the bottom of the fifth to put the eight run rule into effect. Evans, as well as teammates Rebecca Pink and Teer, recorded two hits in the win.
Sanfilippo notched the win with a complete game, one hitter. She also fanned three hitters.
